Bhutan is culturally rich. As His Majesty says, it is because of our unique culture and tradition that we could remain sound as a sovereign nation. Nothing can save Bhutan from falling into the hands of nuclear powerhouses like India and China if Bhutan cannot maintain its distinct identity. And such a profound meaning lies concealed in every Bhutanese way. Our dress, gho, and Kira have their own meaning and significance. The colorful painting on our walls, the figurines that hang on our houses, and even the phallus that swings down our roofs have different importance and tell stories.
