Bhutan is known all over the world for its distinct culture and tradition. And Bhutanese gloats about their unique culture that remains intact at the jaw of the Cultural Revolution worldwide. Ghos and Kiras that Bhutanese wear, Ema Datshi, and Suja that Bhutanese eat and drink, and multi-colored short houses in which Bhutanese live in, everything is so different and unique. It is very true that Bhutan survived and could remain the sovereign nation only because they could preserve their culture very well. In this seven days Discover Western Bhutan tour, we will take you through the Bhutanese way of living and try to dwell in Bhutanese minds and thoughts.

DAY 1: PARO/THIMPHU

Arrive any time at Paro International Airport (2200 meters above sea level) and transfer to Thimphu. In Thimphu (2300m), if time permits, take an orientation walk in town, do some shopping, and get settled.

DAY 2: THIMPHU

Hike to Chari or Tango Monetary (2850m) in the morning hours. In the afternoon, visit National Memorial Chorten and drive to Buddha-point. Then travel to Takin Park to see the national animal of Bhutan and also visit Bhutan Post Office to get personal stamps printed with the individual photos fixed. Later, visit Zorigchusum Arts and Crafts Centre. In the evening, visit Traditional Paper Factory, followed by a visit to Changzamtog Weaving Centre.

DAY 3: THIMPHU /PUNĀKHA

Leave Thimphu for Punakha
Enjoy a full day of exploration including a visit to Dochula Druk Wangyel Chorten (108 victory stupas) at Dochula Pass (3150M), Chhimi Lhakhang (temple of fertility), Punakha Dzong (1200m), and Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery.

DAY 4: PUNĀKHA / HAA

Travel to Haa valley.
Have a peaceful stroll around Haa town (3050m) in the evening

DAY 5: HAA VALLEY / PARO

Visit Lhakhang Karpo in the morning.
Drive towards Paro via Chelela Pass (3,800 m). After arrival, visit Paro Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple built in the 8th century.

DAY 6: TIGER NEST HIKE

Hike to Tiger Nest Monastery (2900m) which is known also known as Taksang Monastery. Enjoy a cultural program in the evening and have a hot stone bath.

DAY 7: DEPARTURE
