Like any other annual festival, Prakhar Tshechu is also held for three days. You will be seeing different kinds of mask dances performed by monks and locals. On the third day, there will be a rare display of a giant silk applique thangkha (painting) depicting Guru Padmasambhava or some other important Buddhist deities. People will get to receive blessings from Thukte Dawa.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN PARO, BHUTAN

Welcome to Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
As soon as you land at Paro International Airport, our guide and driver will be there to greet you. They will then transport you to Thimphu.
After quick meals, you will be visiting Buddha Point at Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten, and Tashichodzong.

DAY 2 : THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA

Today, we will leave Thimphu for Punakha.
En route, we will stop at Dochula Pass to see the 108 Victory Stupas.
After lunch in your hotel in Punakha, we will visit the Punakha dzong.

DAY 3: PUNAKHA TO BUMTHANG

we will begin our journey early in the morning because we have a long journey ahead.

DAY 4: BUMTHANG

Witness the tsechu today, a rich form of the oral history tradition where the Bhutanese pass on values, mythology, and spiritual beliefs through dance dramas.

DAY 5 : BUMTHANG TO TRONGSA

Before beginning our journey towards Trongsa, we will head towards Prakhar Lhakhang to witness the Prakhar Tshechu.
Then, you will travel to Trongsa.

DAY 6 :TRONGSA TO GANGTEY

Travel to Gangtey, also known as Phobjikha.
The valley of Phobjikha is well known as the winter home of the Black necked crane (Grus Nigricollis).

DAY 7: GANGTEY

Nature Hike along the valley of Phobjikha – A short trek of about 90 minutes known as the ‘Gangte Nature Trail’ starts from the Mani stone wall to the north of the GangtengGonpa and ends in Khewa Lhakhang.

DAY 8 : GANGTEY TO THIMPHU

DAY 9: TOUR OF THIMPHU

We will begin exploring Thimphu today.
We will visit Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, Paper making Factory, Takin enclosure, and Centenary Farmers’ Market. –

DAY 10: THIMPHU TO PARO

Depart for Paro Valley.
Visit Paro Dzong, the National Museum and Drukgyel Dzong

DAY 11 HIKE TO TAKSANG (PARO)

Today, we will to Tiger’s Nest
After a sumptuous local lunch, we will retrace our steps to visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
