This trip is likely to satisfy any big city slicker seeking a little refuge in nature. As the name itself says—the place blessed by 100,000 dakinis—you will be able to find bliss within. The Bumdra Luxury Camping is quite a popular trek among Bhutanese pilgrims. In recent times, even tourists are seeking to hike to the sacred Bumdra Nye (holy site). In this program, we will take you not only to Bumdra Nye, but we will also make you visit other spiritual sites and monuments.

Day 1: Welcome to Bhutan:

Arrive at the Paro International Airport (2200 meters above sea level).
Travel to Thimphu. En route, visit Tachog Lhakhang.
After lunch, explore Thimphu (2300m) with a visit to National Memorial Chorten, Golden Buddha Dordenma Statue, Takin Conservation Park, and Tashichhodzong.

Overnight stay at Hotel Tara Phendeyling (or similar)

Day 2: Thimphu Excursion:

Hike to Chagri Monastery (2850m).
After lunch, have an orientation walk along the busy street of Thimphu.
Visit the handmade paper factory, the Institute of Traditional Arts and Crafts, and watch archery, the national game of Bhutan.

Overnight stay at Hotel Tara Phendeyling (or similar)

Day 3: Thimphu–Punakha:

Travel to Thimphu.
Visit the Victory Stupas, known as Druk Wangyel Chortens, at Dochula Pass (3150m) on the way. Also visit Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility, en route.
After lunch at Punakha (1200m), visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, walk on the longest suspension bridge situated next to the dzong and also visit Galem’s ruined house at Chang Yul.

Overnight stay at Zhingkham Resort (or similar)

Day 4: Punakha–Paro

Travel back to Paro.
En route, visit Semtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress built in the 17th century by the great Zhandrung Rinpoche.
After lunch at Paro, visit Paro Dzong and enjoy an orientation tour in the beautiful Paro Valley.

Overnight stay at Bhutan Mandala Resort (or similar)

Day 5:Paro-Bumdra Trek

Drive to Sanga Choekor Monastery, one of the Buddhist Colleges in Bhutan.
Begin trekking towards the holy Bumdra Site, the place blessed by 100,000 dakinis.

Overnight stay at Bumdra camp (3800m)

Day 6: Bumdra-Tiger’s Nest Paro

Hike down towards Paro via Taktsang Monastery (2900).
Visit the most sacred temple of Taksang, the tiger’s nest, blessed by Guru Rinpoche.
Also visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the three oldest temples in Bhutan.
Visit a homestay in the evening and have a hot-stone bath.

Day 7: Departure:

Leave Paro for your respective countries.
