For those adventure lovers around the world, particularly those who are interested on feel the ecstasy on whitewaters, Bhutan is the best place. Bhutan has many big rivers that flow down at high velocity, cutting through the rocks and cliffs. Every year, many rafters and kayakers come to Bhutan to slake their thirst for thrill on whitewaters. And Punakha is the best place to raft.


Arrive Paro International Airport (2200 meters above sea level) at any time and transfer to Thimphu.
In Thimphu (2300m), if time permits, take an orientation walk in town, do shopping and get settled in.

Enjoy a full day of exploration including a visit to Dochula Druk Wangyel Chorten (108 victory stupas) at Dochula Pass (3150m), Chhimi Lhakhang (temple of fertility), Punakha Dzong (1200m), and Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery.

Hike through rice terraces and forests to Khamsum Yueley Chorten.
Ramble through the suspension bridge.
In the afternoon, go for river rafting.

DAY 4: punakha/Paro

Travel to Paro.
Visit to Paro Dzong and National Museum and Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples built in 8th century.

DAY 5: Taktsang hike

Hike to tiger nest famously known as Taktsang Monastery (2900M). It will take at least 2 hours to reach the monastery.
Enjoy cultural program and dinner in pure Bhutanese style in the evening.
